Sewing Friends

My friend Tina and I are sew nuts. We travel for miles looking for that perfect fabric store. Amish country in northeast Ohio has produced some rare finds. We delight in finding that special deal or a rare find that eludes us within our neighborhoods.  Our travels have taken us to different areas. We have an insane time in each others company.

The wonderful thing about being sew nuts, is the fact that we have many friends that are sew nuts too.

Sharon, Cheryl, Kit, and  for example, are just a few. I have been going crazy trying to get family members to be sew nuts with me. My sister. Althea, can be a sew nut part of the time, but she also enjoys genealogy and scrape booking.

We are not only nuts about sewing, we are also nuts about embroidery and crafts. We love the transformation of taking a piece of fabric and thread and turning it into something beautiful and/or useful.

With many working and having jobs outside the home we can only be sew nuts part of the time. I really want to be a full time sew nut. Maybe someday life will allow that.

My hope is that as I post articles and photos that you too will become interested in joining and becoming a sew nut too.. Quilting and sewing are very rewarding. My recent  project, making memory bears, brings joy to my heart.
